It's been a LONG trip,

but worth every mile

February 1992 marks a significant milestone that we strive to remember. It feels almost like a birthday month for the formation of the HENDRIX TRIO.

Mary Pirtle and her husband Dave were the founding members of our group. Following Mary’s passing, Teri and Daniel Hines, along with their cousin Ricky, joined us after Daniel felt God's call to "go with Bobby and Rhonda." They embraced that calling, and together we forged LASTING, LONG, and LOVING relationships with them and their talented families.

When Daniel and Teri had to leave to focus on their growing family, Dustin stepped in. At just 17, he was a young ‘kid’ with an AMAZING adult voice. The Hendrix Trio has been privileged to have every one of our members, and the moments we've shared on the road remain unforgettable HIGHLIGHTS. After Dustin, Kendall Hudson and his wife Florina became part of our group and stayed for 3.5 years. Dustin later returned with his wife WENDY and their two boys—oh, what interesting times those were! Hehe. We acquired our first RV and had no clue about them, but it was a blessing to have a place for naps and to freshen up after unloading our gear.

Happy New Year. Looking forward....

May this New year find you worshipping at his feet

When we got to go back to T-Town; our RV repairman came and installed a new converter so we would have power and no hiccups, on the way to Mesquite a couple of weekends after that.

Joe Gordon and Ransomed are great hosts! We love those guys, and met “The Medlocks” our new friends.

Also Kelly James was an added bonus, to our evening. Along with Ms. Green that sang with The Rambo’s years ago. I grew up listening to them and she helped teach me harmony! What a night to remember

Speaking of wrapping up our 2025 year for Hendrix Trio, we had a successful Fundraising concert; meal; auction-silent and noisy both, for Cancer survivor; Stephanie Stewart. A much needed service with our many friends and special concert with Dustin & co.

Dustin sang with Hendrix Trio on 2 different occasions back in the 90’s a total of about 13 years; before Ranessa took the reins. We had an awesome time.

Dustin May is one of my favorite all time singers! Of course it helps when Bro. Bobby's sister; Renee Watson; Is one of his vocalists too.

Here today....Gone tomorrow!

Staying busy and You guys have had abundant LIFE, just like we have!

In the middle of August….remember me telling you we finished laying the last tracks for our recording “Time to pray.” Caleb says it will be Late November before he can work and edit them.

I'm BELIEVING SOON!
The day we did that, we made the trip on out to see Nella; and from the weekend before, when I was there; Until that one; she had digressed so much. Bed ridden and so weak.
My heart was heavy, it was hard to come on home. But Life goes on.

Labor day weekend; Hendrix Trio was privileged to be the special guests at The NETXGMA. They treated us great!
We met with old acquaintances and I even brought a small “message” to the other ministries represented, after the Mexican lunch they so graciously fed us!

Jesus helped me.
I’m no preacher; but LIFE lessons are learned through experience, and THAT
I have had.
So I just pass along what the Lord has allowed me to learn.

We hated to cut our Saturday night short, but with Nella asking for me, it was all I could do to finish up and get on the road.
Thankfully we were within an hour and half of her place in Aurora TX.
Nella Passed September 1, and the following weekend was the visitation and funeral.

Hendrix trio went ahead and canceled the first weekend in September as well, up in Hot Springs AR area. Which we hope, you won’t hold that against us.
We love going up in the Arkansas mountains, and worshipping with those folks.

What a whirlwind month.
I went out to work on the estate, which is mom’s & sorting through Nella’s personal stuff ready for distribution.
I had to pray God would give me wisdom-with what to keep and put my sentimentality aside.

You see the first photo in this ramblin. It was bro. Bobby trying to get himself in the car, because he had loaded it to the GILLS!!

Speaking of Car. Nella gave me 'red' prior to her passing, but I didn't get to bring her home until after the funeral. It has been a great blessing. (see photos)

We can’t take it with us y’all know.
It’s just to make us feel surrounded with Gods blessings in this LIFE.
Stuff.
I Don’t need anything else. Too much to get rid of now!

If you’re not on vacation in a cool spot; you are working that AC as much as this “hot” trio from Texas!

We took the little trip to Jackson back in July and the experience and free critique was priceless.
Two of the judges that spoke directly to us (you can watch on singing news television) called last week, and asked Hendrix Trio to partner with their media marketing HITS & HYMNS road show.

What an honor.

However, the $$ to invest was not possible for us, plus we felt God directing us to “not yet”, so here we are. We respectfully declined.

IF this Hits and Hymns Road Show, comes to a town near you, I recommend you GO and give in the love offering and show your support for those regional groups. You’ll be glad you did.

Hard to believe it's been a year already!!

Waell!

I haven’t spoken to you all this last year and I apologize for that!

I and WE made many trips to Ft. Worth; since my sister- Hendrix Trio’s booking agent- had been diagnosed with terminal cancer.

We are thankful God had other plans besides the 3-6 month mark.

After celebrating 33 years in ministry; in February 2024,

recording half our new CD in March & going to West coast in April; it began a very busy year for Us.

Hendrix Trio got to sing at so many NEW places & we loved getting to meet new friends and making lasting friendships.

WE loved singing at CowBoy church in GODLEY TEXAS, and tho it was WINDY; the little town behind Bobby and Ranessa shows SOME of the ingenuity outside.

IT was the neatest place inside the old looking buildings, and we enjoyed it immensely!! Thank you pastor's Defoor & church family.

This Summer has been quieter for us; and we’ve only made a few trips so far.

But; I will share some ” news “

with you….

The Singing News has put together a talent search; and we landed in the top 10.

We get to go to Jackson TN; coming up July the 12, to sing for the matinee; and a panel of Judges!

Hendrix Trio knows we are not competing with any other ministry, but we do pray the exposure will open more doors for us to share in a new area. If you’ll be in prayer for God to anoint us; & that we lift Him up;

He will do the work needed.

Lots of water under our bridge; and miracles too!

Arizona was another story.
It’s so high above sea level; it couldn’t figure out if it was spring; winter; or summer coming through!! At one point we had wind; sleet; hail; snow; on this side of the mountain, and turned a curve…. Wallah!!! Sunshine no shadows and green lush, gorgeous plains.
God and his design is amazing.

Back down to San Francisco, where bro. Bobby and I celebrated 35 years of marriage, and ate seafood @ fisherman’s Warf. Definitely won’t forget that mile marker!!

Riverdale Assembly of God on Tuesday night proved to be one of the best altar services, we could have wished for. The young people and older, alike, got eternal energy, straight from the throne. Jesus has proven time and again. If we are
Willing, HE is faithful. The WHOLE Spencer family is coming through the fire, and I’m just expecting God to give them complete, exceptional victory, at the end.

Wednesday, over at the Gospel Defenders in Merced; came one of the sweetest services, we ALL participated in. Including down to the young school aged children.

After they sang the Glory down, then we needed to just GO HOME! But, Jesus knew the ones that needed to hear what their Texas family of believers had to sing and say. We loved making new Lasting friendships with the Hilton’s.

All good things must come to an end; so California was left in the dust; and New Mexico was waiting at the ending of this tour.

Summer has hit. June has already said bye. July is here and since I don’t do well with the heat….. well let’s just say, I stay inside most days.
We are praying about upgrading our RV to a newer one with a bath and a half, and better sleeping quarters for Ranessas back.

Will you help us pray? We have found what we want. But rates right now are so high, we have decided to wait until after Election. So far, Bro. Bobby has had to make the payments, so, he knows our budget!

It WILL be GOD if we get one, but I refuse to limit the Holy one. Until next time…

Of One Accord - hosting Gospel Nights, in MESQUITE Texas every FIRST Friday of the month.

Saved by Grace - hosting Hymns and Harmony in Garland, every FIRST Saturday of the month.

Heaven Sound Harmony - hosting heavensound.com concert series each month, in the Metroplex.

Appointed by Grace - We met in San Antonio many years ago, was very impressed with their sound and presentation.

Truth Infusion - is one of our favorite local/regional artist, and we know you love them as well.

Cooler weather; Leaves falling; Pastor appreciations; Music conventions, ALL are here, some have passed, Other's haven't yet arrived. Cooler weather arrived, stayed for a day or two and wheeeeee. Gone again! Welcome to Texas.

The Hendrix Trio, has stayed busy, during the Fall season and I can't say I'm READY for the Holidays, BUT, that doesn't matter, since they are gonna arrive, whether I'm ready or not!

Nothing like Friends

The blessings far out weigh the rough times, so I won’t complain. Especially when God blesses us with special friends like The Hootens.Donnie Hooten is a “hoot!” We got to be special guests at their monthly concert series in the first part of August. The Lord interrupted the concert with HIS wonderful presence, and MANY came forward for prayer. God is still performing miracles!

Monday; the 7th of August; we were privileged to worship @ revival with LifeHouse, right here in town at their revival, with Bro. Todd Reed. He and Debbie are a huge blessing! Debbie sang “I’ll fly away” with us. (She gave Ranessa vocal lessons years ago) bro. Josh Ross sang “he knows my name” with us, and then Tijuana Boswell (our interim music minister at church) sang a song with us written by a friend of ours “ Even to the end”.
I was thankful they all came along beside us and held. My voice was about GONE!

Sum'mer here, sum'mer there...

Father’s Day came and went, I’ll have to say, I thank God for my children’s dad and my Son; Ryan; for being such a great Dad as well. Bobby taught him well.

The Last weekend in June; we had the privilege of singing over at Seven Points Baptist, in Cedar Creek.

You don’t know where that is probably.

Don’t feel bad; our GPS didn’t either! We finally made it and had an awesome soul saving service. They be bapticostal folks right there!

Thank you Pastor Lewis for opening your doors for the musical gospel. Our duet friends “Saved By Grace”did an outstanding job along with “Heaven Sound Harmony”. They also let us use their NICE Sennheiser”microphones; and since our 8 year old ones were on the blink, it put the desire in our hearts! The word says “he will give you the desires of your heart….”
Ours arrived a few weeks ago!! Woohoo. Thank you Jesus!

Spent the rest of the night close to Sanctuary of Praise in West Fort Worth. Bro Clayton and Terri Phillips; are some of our favorite visiting buddies. Had a great service, and many were healed, through the WORD.
They are Ours!! By the way….Those promises in the word.

I Apologize for the RAMBLING Lapse...

I can’t believe Christmas will be here a little over 6 months. I have let my RAMBLINGS lapse and for that I apologize!

Bro. Bobby says I haven’t let up at all. Hehe

January blew in with the busy signal going wild!

The Hendrix Trio HOMECOMING “Gaither format” choir 2023, started practices for our homecoming concert slated for late February. We are celebrating 31 years of ministry in February. Hard to believe.

FEBRUARY rolling around, with the count down.

FINALLY. The big night. Feb 25, 2023.

Every individual that participated said it was the best homecoming concert yet.

Those who attended, said “ditto!” The groups that were featured, ALL did an outstanding job, and I still have people 5 months later tell me how much they enjoyed the concert.

MARCH marched right in with gusto, and the first part of the month found us at EVANGEL FAMILY OUTREACH. My, my, my. What a great altar service.

The last time we had been there was right before my momma had passed away, in 2016.

The Spirit moved on Pastor Jay & he told me he saw the spirit of my momma and my daddy rest on me. THAT was a BIG responsibility to shoulder! Since then, I’ve taken my place in the ministry much more important than I ever have before.

APRIL already? Loving the weather. Made our debut at Del City Sing on that one foolish day. It was not an April Fools’, when we said we had a great time!! Loved getting to sing with the NEW TULSANS too.

We tied into them and they so graciously allowed us to use their system. Ms. Vera is precious! We fell in love with her!

After the booking agent (yours truly) was fired and rehired….we met friends at Trinity Pentecostal Church in Siloam Springs, where Our former Music Ministers had taken a pastorate . We found out one thing. There are Short nights in Siloam Springs!! Awesome alter service, with many touched and only God knows what all DID take place.

MAY stormed down upon us; literally! We all thought we were gonna “blow away”, oh Glory , & WAKE up in GLORY! Was SCARY to say the least. In an RV you hear and feel every gust. One way to have cooler weather though, when One air conditioner is out, the one kept us pretty cool with all the clouds and rain. Halleluyer.

We got to be with Bro. Al, and the Crowley Assembly of God family. Not only did we have a great service, met new friends from South Africa, and the pastor and some of his people took us to eat Mexican food at one of the best! Thoroughly enjoyed all the great fellowship.

Then MOTHERS day weekend arrived with a quick stop off at Wylie Opry, on Friday evening. LaGrant is still holding down the fort! Met new friends and felt like family.

Mother’s Day at WESTWORTH Village Baptist Temple was wondermus. Bro. Bob is one of the most humorous preachers and we enjoyed every minute!

The Air conditioners worked awesome, then this weekend , the front one decided to backslide on us, after getting the back one repaired this past week! Ain’t life abundant?

Our first weekend in June began with a new experience for us all. Back in March,

EVANGEL family Outreach invited Ranessa and myself to speak at their first Ladies Conference, this weekend.

I spoke on Friday & Ranessa Saturday morning.

I was scared to death!

Never having done anything like it before, I certainly was thankful when the Spirit did the talking! HE is so faithful and I am so nothing! Aren’t we all?

Ranessa did an outstanding job as the ladies responded to the “ RE” weekend.

We ALL got REwound & REset. Even bro. Bobby will get RE warded, For his hard work.

We invited the talented Maeghan Koehn to go with us, and help take the load of the alter service off of me. I’ll have to say she proved to be a HUGE asset and blessing! You know one is really CALLED into ministry, when you can travel with only one a/c, and still come out looking fresh!! No complaints from her. We told her we were gonna get her a “will sing for food” sign. So,Our friend & roadee mr. Bobby along with his son, Josiah made the sign. You see her owning it!

This morning wraps up our first weekend out for June.

We not only re united with friends in Olney, the 125 year old First Baptist, still holds a special place in our hearts. Bro Chad and sis. Melissa are some of our favorite people. Our prayer is that the Lord will bless the work there & continue it to grow for the kingdom.

Rhonda's New Year Ramblings

I love The fall weather and the changes October normally brings.

Except...

We live in Texas so I can’t say it’s always a SURE thing to have Fall weather in October!

If you don’t like todays weather just hang on, it will change. Ha

October 1, we were invited to participate in a fundraiser for the Tawakani Fire department, in ……you guessed Tawakani TX right on the lake. Was gorgeous. Was hot. Andrew went with us, graciously filling in for Ranessa as he was 1 week post op from back surgery.

I Appreciated the Spirit for helping me give a short testimony.

Normally wouldn’t on an outdoor sing…. However, when prompted by the Spirit, you don’t say no!!

I found out later that God used the testimony to minister to folks way across the field, I didn’t even know was there. But HE did. I love his orchestration.

The next day, we were at Hickory Creek Baptist for their 104 homecoming. Awesome time. And meal. Loved our new friends!

Since Ranessa had back surgery the end of September, she was able to get pictures made with us, in Ft Worth, while we were out there for a couple of services. Bro. Rick Nethery was so patient with us and took us to a really neat outdoor park/historical site. We wound up in the barn; in front of the windmill; in front of the antique tractor; we had a blast! Loved our photos. You’ll see if you visit our gallery.

The next morning we sang at bro. Nethery’, in Newark, and the Lord so graciously helped us and many came forward for healing; and one for salvation. God is wanting all of us to be victorious. He went so far as to send Jesus the only begotten, and reminded us that “I LOVE YOU” is everlasting, but it’s nice to be reminded!

That evening we “laid before the lord” for a few minutes in Knob Hill’s parking lot before setting up for an awesome, outstanding healing service. Many. Got help.

I’m so grateful for the faithfulness of God.

Those folks are so talented, they fed me, and us, and they didn’t need Hendrix Trio at all, but thank the Lord for the gracious invitation.

We loved it.

Well. Gilmer Yamboree is some of most favorite places to go and sing with other artists. “Cornbread John” makes the whole experience a funny, uplifting event. Long time member of the Hendrix trio Dustin May; brought wife Wendy, his mom, and son to be with us. We got to eat at the infamous Mexican restaurant in Gilmer and visit as much as we had time for, before having to be back to sing again.

God was there, and we got to know & enjoy the ministry of some new faces . “8th street” for one.

The guys from Oklahoma. Great sound.

Bobby played a tune with they and also with Marlin Dorsey’s group. Bro. Bobby so good!!

November we got to go back to Mesquite for services with Heavensound Trio, and then over to LuElla FBC.

Once again. God has really helped her. Thank you for all of your prayers. It’s the strength your prayers give, we live by them.

We had a little issue with the power on stage at LuElla, and our tracks kept going off, then bro. Bobby would reset and we would go right on.

The fine friends, at LuElla were patient and clapped right along with us. Music or not. Come to find out we had plugged into an older plug onstage that had a short.

We got to sing right in town at the Cathedral Heights church of the Nazerine, in November. The first time for us to sing there. Mr. And Carolyn Benesh hosted us. We loved them. We made many new friends.

Oh what a week.

Thanksgiving is our “unplugged” weekend. But before we turned those phones off, pastor Peek got us!

We got to plug back up and make our way over to Ida, LA to worship with Victory Tabernacle. They are always, so gracious.

we are blessed.

We had an awesome Christmas tour, with The Eubanks. Friday night began in Texarkana. It was a great evening and the smallest crowd I have ever entertained here in Texarkana. I was discouraged; but Jesus is who we sing for. Not the applause of man, so we pulled up our boot straps and marched right up to Wickes AR, for an evening of Christmas worship, at the Pentecostal Church of God.

Once again with our friends, Back Roads Revival, but we ate a quick PCG sandwich and the night was short as we made our way over to Hugo, OK.

Bro. Brown at Hugo AG allows us to plug our RV in, when we are in the area, and this weekend being no different.

After service, we got a quick “shut eye” and in to Blossom to the Church of God, where The Eubanks did an outstanding job as usual.

God met us in both altars.

I am so humbled, and I’m so thankful he has entrusted the Gospel to us.

Family was the icing on our cake. Christmas is the ultimate family time. We celebrate Jesus’s birthday, but every day is a Jesus day.

We got to sing again at Central Mall,

Ashley brought our youngest grand girl, Milana, and she jammed and jigged to all the songs with any beat! She loves music.

Speaking of grand girls….Gracelynn is 8 going on 16. Seems like she has grown up so much since the baby has been born. She is one of the best big sisters ever!

Thanks for allowing me to ramble, but to be honest, I want to do this once a month so they are not so long winded!!

Hopefully I can follow the light with that goal!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year from The Hendrix Trio!

It's hard to believe that it's already a NEW YEAR & we're already looking forward to the next several dates we have coming up and seeing all of you in this new year. It's always exciting to start a new year expecting God to do great things!

God has been so faithful this past year. As you know, Ranessa had major back surgery and she is so thankful to not be in constant pain, but continues to appreciate all of your prayers on her behalf. Thank you all so much for keeping up with us on Social Media as well.

The Christmas and New Year Holidays we were fortunate to spend with our dear families and Rhonda is still in Fort Worth with Nella having follow-up appointments until the end of this week. Please keep her in your prayers as well.

We're going to be at the GMAA on January 21st & we hope to see you all there if you can make it. You can always view our full calendar here as well to see when we will be in ministry near you.

Well, it's already November - Can you believe it?

It's that time of year again when you don't know whether to wear a jacket in the morning or turn on the A/C in the afternoon.

The last few weekends have been especially busy for us!
Only 3 weeks out from Surgery, I was able to finally join the trio again at the Gilmer Yamboree! We got to see some old friends and make some new ones which is always a treat. We ate at the great little mexican food restaurant and then headed out for our Sunday Morning Singing.

We got home Sunday Night to join Faith Assembly (Our Home Church) for their annual Campmeeting.

November 5th, we got to spend the day enjoying Morning Coffee with Nella & Judy, Decatur Burritos then that afternoon getting new photos made with Bro. Rick Neathery. He was the Pastor of House of Prayer in Newark where we sang the following Sunday Morning.

We had such a wonderful time with him & his wife Saturday afternoon. After we had prayer for his camera which unfortunately fell off the Tripod right before we started. Was enough to make you sick to your stomach. However, the Lord cares about even the little things! Sunday morning worship at the House of Prayer in Newark was absolutely wonderful. Rhonda gave her testimony and it was like the Spirit kept reiterating, "I LOVE YOU."

Sunday night we were at Knob Hill Tabernacle. What an awesome service! The Lord moved in such a mighty way in the alter service and Sis. Kemp claimed her healing!! God never fails to amaze me. In case you want to watch it, here's the link.

Rhonda's Ramblings - Fall 2023

September Halleluyer!

I love the FALL.

For one thing, we are busier in the Fall and getting to do what we love is a blessed life, not to mention the cooler weather is inevitable and enforced with a promise by cooler nights.

On the way to NM, camp meeting the end of July; we sang at 2 different churches in Odessa TX. Our friends, the Russell’s let us stay at their RV park almost out the back door of the church! Was so convenient. Especially when our Generator decided to spring a leak; and we had to be transported back and forth by Nella, in her little red car(thank the lord she was with us) and we had the biggest blessing called “little Gerald” come and fix it while we were having service. By the time we got back to the RV park, after an awesome service, we had cool air and a new pump plug on the generator!! Hallelujah !!

New Mexico campmeeting was just what the Lord ordered for us all!

We were fed spiritually and physically some of the best ever. My heart rejoiced with the help Ranessa got, and put Satan on the run, Thank you very much!

After we got home from New Mexico; we got to sing for 5th Sunday sing, at Rhema Baptist.

Ranessa was able to sing with us and it was such a blessing.

And Guess Who showed up? David Patillo; Cheryl; and Ma Patillo.

You think they were coming to see us? Naw. Andrew was the drawing card!!

And he is doing great.

August we got to have an impromptu weekend with Bro. And Sis. Burke in Wickes AR @ Wickes PCG. Some of our great friends! Andrew had a time with old acquaintances and his musical talent is an asset to HT.

We also, had one lady from there, bring us an offering of a gallon of home raised Jersey Cow’s milk. It Was so creamy and gooooood.

I loved sharing it with our grand girls!!

Speaking of GRAND.

Since last Ramblings, **new news**

I pick both girls up and keep them until Ashley gets off of work from her new job, at the Veterinarian clinic across town. They are growing so fast.

It is so hard to believe time has a way of making them older. …..Not me, just them. Hehe

I just turn wiser. Bobby says he just turning loose. (In the Hair department that is.)

Ranessa is slated for L4 & L5 bulging disk back surgery this coming Wednesday the 28th of Sept. we are thanking all of you who have prayed; encouraged; supported and are believing for a complete miracle for her.

It IS Gods will for her to be doing what HE

has called her to do, and we know she’s going to be able to stand and sing again complete in HIS healing.

I DO, however, have a special unspoken request, about getting bats infestation from one of our dwellings. $8k and God owns it all.

It is HIS critters and We are HIS children, so, when you think about us. Say a prayer God will take care of this? His will and glory to him for it all. Thank you in advance.

First weekend in September, found us going to Shreveport area to be with the HOOTEN’S. I do believe the Hootens are one of the easiest groups to work with. They are doing a great work in Bossier City the first Saturday of each month. Check out their schedule! They have many southern gospel national and regional artists. Then back to Texarkana to be with The HOOTEN’S and the ARMSTRONG sisters. I hardly had a voice. I left it with an allergy somewhere between T-town and Bossier!! But both groups ministered to ME. I appreciate them.

Homecomings are very prevalent in September and October so we are juggling some of our dates. We were booked Saturday night September 10 at Bethel AG in Mt. Ida, and pastor Kent with Katie, his “queen”, are always so hospitable. They treat us like royalty.

Sunday morning homecoming 9/11 at Faith Tabernacle in Mt. Ida, we couldn’t have ended any better weekend, than with the Donny Vaughn family. Lifelong friends of the Hendrix family.

In fact, David Hendrix(Bobby’s daddy) recorded most of their 8track and cassette recordings in their living room, for the Vaughn family; with Gospel chimes playing the music tracks for them.

Was such a joy to be with them again.

Today we are in South Alalabama and Latimer AG let us take our liberty and be a duet; with a trio name. lol an awesome service and then Lunch was served with all the ladies making Spaghetti with all the fooofoo fixings and desserts. My,my,my!

We HOPE to get to come back someday, if Jesus tarries.

Without Ranessa; Bobby and I realize we must rely upon The Spirit to complete that third part, and He’s come through both services.

This evening, we were at Sims Holiness church in McIntosh AL. Wonderful folks. Came outta the woodwork! You Have to know where you were going because it is in the woods.

Wonderful facility. Even more amazing people. Many were healed; blessed and encouraged in the altar. GOD is so faithful.

May He find me faithful, until he comes.

Warm, Warmer, HOT!

Love Texas, but I can only take OFF a certain amount and still be. Modest. Hehe

So, I find myself inside more than not, except to water my garden early morning, I don’t get out much.

Hendrix trio opened for the Isaacs about 6 years ago and they had a little fella that could play just about anything they needed.
I commented and said “I want me one of those little talented fellas!”
God gives the desire of the heart :).

When Andrew Patillo called and said he would like to travel with us, since Ranessa was not able to go, we were tickled! Andrew plays the violin(fiddle in Texas!) The saxophone; the bass; harmonica and mostly can tear up a dinner plate!! Hahaha. Cannot fill those legs up.

Bobby and I have learned 5 of his Daddy’s songs and Those feature Andrew. David Patillo, long time friends of the Hendrix’s, has written over 400 songs (I believe I heard that right!). We are Lovin it.
When Andrew is not singing; he is playing an instrument to compliment our songs. He is an asset and we are thankful he was willing to donate his time to the Hendrix Trio.

Ranessa has been donating since she was 14, When you see these young people, you might want to give them a $supportive handshake$ and encourage them! It goes a long way to say “thank you for helping carry the gospel."

Ranessa is planning on going to New Mexico the 22-29th of July and we are beyond excited about it.

She is believing God for complete healing (however HE chooses to do it) for her Spinal Stenosis; arthritic spine and it all had a big name but WE serve an even BIGGER God. Right now she's looking at back surgery.

He has been so faithful to all of us; why would we expect anything different when our trust is in HIM?

Our 2nd Grand girl; Milana Joy; just had her 1st birthday party. She loves music; worship; and her food. Gracelynn is the best big sister ever! We are very proud of them. Just ask…. We have lotsa pictures.

If we are in your area, come on out and give us a hug! We love you all and appreciate your support for the last 30 years!

Rhonda's Ramblings Summer 22'

Hey!! I think this may be the first this year from me???

I can’t even remember it’s been too long for sure.
We DID have an online Facebook live 30th anniversary mini concert, back in February. Sat the 19th.

Dustin May long time member of our group (2different times ) equaling total of 7.5 years, came and blessed all of us with his outstanding talent. I forget how good he is, until I am privileged to sing with him again:)

Also, Renee and Jarvis Watson brought their boys and some Renee’s creation cookies; straight from her factory!! We were special!

Renee and Jarvis are an asset everywhere they go and serve.
Since that time, Bobby and I have had to be very talented and get a “trio” sound out of just us two. Haha. Let me tell you. It doesn’t sound exactly right, and we miss Ranessa more than she will ever know; but God called us a long time ago, and I want to faithful to the calling.

Speaking of Ranessa; she is taking a sabbatical from the group, for the most part, awaiting surgery for her back. She is not able to stand for any length of time; and even though we put a chair up on stage for her to sit; it is still very painful.

Having been diagnosed with bulging disc arthritis and degenerative disc disease, has not left her running any races that’s for sure!! She’s waiting on the government to approve an updated MRI; at which time - once they do that (Proverbs 21:1) she will have surgery. We are hoping it will correct the problem at least until Jesus comes to take us outta here!

Bro. Bobby is still working at Texarkana surgery center. Makes it close to 30 years for them. It’s a shame he can’t travel and work during the week and is sing on weekends!
I have my bag packed; when Jesus says go full-time; we will!!

To All of you that have supported us over the last 30 years; thank you! I may not tell you how much we love you; but hope the Spirit let’s you know, it’s gospel truth when We say it!

Every penny you’ve given; every minute you’ve been attentive, to the song; every encouraging word you’ve spoken to us, has not and will not go in noticed by the Lord!

I will be very real and honest. I have been so discouraged at times this year; but God has been so faithful to me. He has done too much for me, NOT to continue to minister through song ; as we’ve been commissioned to do. The harvest is white; the trumpet is about to sound; may HE find all of us in the field working while we still have time, to take some with us!!

Get onboard!

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year from the Hendrix Trio!

Like all of you, we've had a wonderful Holiday Season. Enjoying time spent with our loved ones in celebration of Jesus' Birth & a New Chapter.

Mom & I left with Dad to spend Christmas Eve, and Day at Aunt Nella's house after spending time together before we packed up. Mom had some doctor's appointments after Christmas in Dallas so she & I decided to hang-over & spend the week there until we could see the rest of our family on New Years & celebrate with them.

The Fall

Time for family and friends. Lots of big meals, and many hours of cooking together. It was always a treat when I got to cook with my sisters. Pecan pies; dressing ( I was the prepper)all those foody dishes like cream cheese corn, green bean casserole; deviled eggs; avocado salad…. The list goes on.

But, invariably some are hungry BEFORE the big meal.
What a great idea!!! Early risers, Have a breakfast burrito! Sausage, eggs, potatoes, cheese, in a warm tortilla. Mmmmm

"You're not FAT you're beautiful."

"If you would lose about 75lbs you would be a much better singer."

"You're a hepher."

"I can't take you out on anymore dates until you lose 50lbs minimum."

"Men are visual, you need to work on your appearance more, then maybe someone will date you."

"I'm sick of people not doing anything to prevent their problems, you could be doing more, you could try harder to lose weight."

"I like you!" "Oh, thanks...Ghosted."

"You know, you would be so pretty if you would just lose some weight."

"You're not FAT, you're beautiful..."

These are only a handful of things people have said to me over the years. I am 28. A woman, no more growth spurts. This is IT - this is what you get. I have spent so many years fighting and mostly losing the battle in my mind that, "I'm going to be alone forever or I'm just never going to be good enough because of how I look." Or the lie that my value somehow is determined by my appearance.

Truth is there is a standard of 'beauty' in our society today, even in the church world. When I was growing up the boys flocked to beautiful little petite girls. They were perfect, they could sing and they were tiny. How was I to compare to that, right? WRONG, keyword being compared .

It has taken me 28 years to figure out some things and I want to share with you what God has taught me about myself , the culture of self-love and toxic thoughts .

2.) Listening to a false sense of positive thinking will not change how you feel. I've heard all the gurus and multi-million dollar influencers tell the world that you can achieve your goals by setting clear standards, saying positive affirmations every day and keep your head in a positive mindset through the use of meditation.

The Truth is, that's a false narrative and the ONLY thing that is going to keep the negativity at bay is a daily relationship with the Lord. Reading what His word says about you and how much HE loves you is the ONLY cure for negative thinking. His word tells us:

"I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well." - Psalms 139:14 NKJV

"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope." - Jeremiah 29:11

"Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? And not one of them is forgotten before God. Why, even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not; you are of more value than many sparrows." -Luke 12:6-7

4.) I'm sick of this false narrative in the church that if your 'single.' You are somehow incomplete or not doing enough. Let me be careful what I say here, don't get me wrong I fully believe in the institution of marriage.

I pray everyday for my future spouse. I WHOLE-HEARTEDLY hope that I can be married and have a family someday, but why does that seem to be the end all be all for most young people today? At a recent ladies event we had, the young girls below 25 became completely astonished at the idea that they may "never marry" or at the very least may not marry before 25. While I used to think the same exact thing to myself; something MUST be wrong with me if I'm not married by 25 with children. NO, WRONG. I'm 28, and I'm just now to a place in Christ that I fully know who and what I need in a mate. If I had made that decision on someone I was seeing when I was 21-24 I would have messed up my life and my future.

I think it's important to teach young women, that while being married is wonderful and a God-given desire we all will have, their purpose is first to "SEEK THE KINGDOM." Everything else will be taken care of by our Heavenly Father.

Marriage is not a CURE for sexual desire. Nor is it a cure for Loneliness.

I f you can't know who you are in Christ, your purpose for being on this earth as an individual and what your ministry is then how do you know that person is the person God has for you? I once heard someone say, "Marriage does not improve your singleness, it merely exposes it."

Who you are 90% of the time is who you are still going to be after marriage. I don't believe it's healthy for young people to marry simply because they are afraid of being alone. You need to come to a place where being alone is your time of refreshing, and refilling not something to dread.

Please don't feel I'm bashing any particular principle. I am simply trying to provoke thoughtful discussion and get you to realize your value comes from Christ and CHRIST alone . Not whether or not your married or single.

...You've Got Time To Pray

In Matthew chapter 6 is one of my favorite verses about not having to worry about food or clothing for the Heavenly Father knows exactly what you have need of. Consider the lilies... and all that. Some really beautiful words. However, there are days when it’s just a little harder to remember Jesus’ words than others.

When the hot water heater goes out and there’s more month than there is paycheck....When both tires on your car need to be replaced. When it’s almost summer time and the air conditioner is working overtime to keep the house cool because it's also needing to be replaced.

Last night I was anointing my appliances and I felt really stupid for praying over an inanimate object, but it was like the Father just said...”Either you believe I can do it or you don’t?” At that moment the Spirit filled the room and I can’t describe to you the beauty of the Peace that filled my mind and heart. Our Father really does care about the little things that matter to us.

The past couple of years have been especially hard for a lot of people. I know the suffering so many have gone through and I can’t even imagine the pain of some of the losses you all may have gone through with Covid. I know that times are hard and I know that everyday struggles can sometimes overwhelm us to the point of just straight worrying!! If we have time to worry and stress over it though... have we thought about praying about it?

Have you ever experienced the peace of God? Not when He’s fixed the need, but when He’s reassured you that He’s still in control and you can just trust Him?

That perfect peace is indescribable and it’s not that the problem goes away immediately - it’s just that knowing that you no longer have to be concerned over it... God’s got it!

“And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

Singleness - The Good, Bad... & Sometimes Ugly Truth.

"You should be grateful..."

Perhaps it’s my perspective, but we are typically the minority in the church and often get overlooked when sermons are speaking to the ‘married men and women.’ We’re told this is the time when we have the MOST freedom, and time. We should be using that time and freedom to fulfill God’s purpose for our lives and diving deeper into relationship with Him. Yes, I wholeheartedly agree, but isn’t that true for every stage of life?

Why do we tell a young woman who has a house, a job, a ministry, and is seeking God’s will for her husband that she still isn’t content enough? Of course we’re not content. God put within each and every one of us the desire to have human connection, partnership, love and to be loved in return.

I found myself on a two-year stretch finding anything to fill the void having left the church and looking for attention anywhere I could. I was playing video games with men who would make me feel attractive and wanted. I was drinking alcohol to numb the pain, and when that wasn’t enough I would meet men online who were at the very least perverted enough to want someone who was on the ‘fluffier’ side of life.

I was numb. I had turned off everything and everyone because it hurt to much to admit how bitter I was at God for having let this happen to me . Sound Familiar? I was bitter at the people I thought loved me and should have been there for me, but instead they turned there backs on me when I began looking and acting a little different. Let me stop right here and say something, you will NEVER know what someone is really going through on the inside - so don’t ever presume to know and please don't EVER give up on them.

I’ve said all of this to say...marriage is not the end goal, nor should we be teaching our young people that it’s their purpose in life. Is that God’s will for some? Absolutely! I’m not diminishing the institution of marriage. It is one of the first covenants mentioned in the Bible and I believe it is something that we each have a God-given desire for. However, I want to iterate a few points of my own having been single for so many years...So, Buckle your seatbelts.

I don’t believe Paul’s goal here was to say that you can’t please the Lord if you’re married, nor if you desire to be married, but rather that we who are single have the freedom to serve the Lord more fully. I challenge myself and my single peers - I know this season is not easy, I’m speaking from experience, but ask the question - how can we be more devoted and purposeful in our relationships with the Lord and with those we love?

I challenge my married peers, don’t forget the desire you had to be married, and don’t belittle it. Those of you who are married, ask the question - how much are you doing to deepen your relationship with the Lord, alongside your spouse?

When it comes to the things of God we should all be striving for more , I know that I should be. When it comes to relationships, I believe we should all be grateful for whatever season we are in and not be made to feel like we are lesser if we have not achieved something that someone else thinks we should have.

I hope this was an encouragement to someone who may have felt lonely and thought it was somehow a weakness. I also hope that I opened the eyes of some of our married Christian peers who mean well by their intentions. Pray for one another, encourage one another. LOVE one another...because we aren't long for this world and EVERY relationship matters.

The Potter Knows the Clay | Grace & Purpose

Self-Worth... Self-Esteem...Confidence. These are words I dread...

Where did that confidence go? Somewhere between the age of 9-12 I lost all of my God-given natural self-confidence. Was it when I began to see my older teenage peers constantly pulling at their clothes and fixing their hair, thinking to myself...”If they don’t think themselves beautiful...then what do they think of me...?”

Was it when I had my first crush on a boy who laughed at me because I was many years his junior and not even a woman yet? Or was it when my brother’s friends called me the ‘Hepher’ because I played a cow that year in the Christmas play? I can’t really place my finger on the exact moment, or perhaps it wasn’t a moment. Perhaps it was a series of societal pressures, kids that can be cruel, magazines & tv women that I always seemed to notice ‘looked’ a certain way.

Rather than Godly modesty, beauty & confidence. I observed gossip, backstabbing, girls hiding who they were from the world in case someone noticed their pain. Sexual immoralities, lust & hidden contempt for the rules of the church.

Perhaps instead of telling young women what they can or can’t wear we should be focusing on making sure they have a relationship with God, & are filled with the Holy Spirit. Perhaps they should be working together in small groups & bible studies so they don’t have time to steal each other’s boyfriends...?

Did you know that “A recent LifeWay study found that only 32 percent of Americans who “attend a Protestant church regularly say they read the Bible personally every day.” Evangelical Protestants faired a little better (36 percent), but not much. As Albert Mohler put it, “The scandal of biblical illiteracy [is] our problem.” I guarantee you outward modesty will come with an inward change of the heart & “the heart cannot love what the mind does not know.”

I want to encourage you today, don’t doubt the way God made you or what God gave you. Feast on His Word & when Satan tries to tell you that your not good enough. That you’re a failure. That you aren’t smart enough...God says, “But indeed, O man, who are you to reply against God? Will the thing formed say to Him who formed it, “Why have you made me like this?” Does not the potter have power over the clay.” -Romans 9:20.

The Bible also says, “And we know all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” -Romans 8:28.

WE ARE fearfully & wonderfully made, & it’s okay to love yourself because you love the God of all Creation who loved you before you were formed. He knew you & He called you to His purpose! No matter your stage in life, if you are like me, you need reminding sometimes that YOU ARE LOVED!

Rhonda's Ramblings - DEC 2020

You tuned in, so I'll share Hendrix Trio's Latest Ventures

Hendrix Trio finally arrived at Faithful Gospel in Bethel Heights, and MAN!! Those folks hold nothing back. They were getting behind us; we were hooked up to the Spirit, and JESUS did a work. I shouted (that means danced in the Jesus spirit, for all you folks that are not accustomed to that):) got to telling how God had healed me and it was soooo rich. A feeling like you get when that grand child hits a HOME RUN. YOU shout!!
Yep I did too.
I felt the HOME RUN.

We had a few days at home and were booked in Oklahoma for the Texoma Gospel Music Association and then on over to Shawnee, the weekend of November 6th.

"The Rona" changed our plans. Ranessa tested positive. Bobby and I had sinus infection and head ache; cough and NO taste or smell. Uuugh. Im sure I was positive too. Those are classic symptoms.

Been positive about a lot of things but that one Corona positive, I was NEGATIVE about!! Didn’t like It at all but , no fear. And God helped us ALL.

~November 22 weekend~
We finally got to get back on the road and headed to pretty town down by Temple TX called Belton. @ Trinity Full Gospel, Bro. Rick Lasely, gave us the royal treatment; but God is the one that made it all seem like Royalty. Being a kings kid, I took full advantage of HIS provision, and felt the anointing so strong.
Joana and Johnny Herring, gave us some fresh lemons off of their very own trees! I do believe they were the best lemons I’ve ever eat. Then we had a cherry on top when our friends~ the Walkers, took us to eat Mexican food.

The family of God is amazing. Just like our Father. BTW
We love Mexican food. Speaking of...

Since I’m not working; I decided to take orders for homemade burritos,
Beef, Bean, and Breakfast to be delivered Week of Thanksgiving.
After rolling over 600 burritos, I was soooooo ready for some time off.

~First Weekend in Dec~
Bro. Bobby’s mom lives in Cunningham. Since I had sold 7 dozen burritos around the Paris area; we decided to drive down Thursday and spend our late “Thanksgiving “ with her since we were headed Friday to Ft. Worth. Delivering her birthday gift and the said sold burritos.

Bro. Bobby’s sister; Renee and Jarvis Watson and their 3 pre teen boys came over for bunches of laughs. They BROUGHT the laughs- along with friends Wendy and Dustin May. Same Dustin sang off and on with The Hendrix Trio for over 7 years.
We always tell them we need a “May fix”. Boy did we get it! Hehe.
They are so funny.

However, I digress. for nearly a year I had been battling all of this and was diagnosed with sever migraine disorder and chronic fatigue. For those of you unfamiliar with what a migraine is: "A migraine can cause severe throbbing pain or a pulsing sensation, usually on one side of the head. It's often accompanied by nausea, vomiting, and extreme sensitivity to light and sound. Migraine attacks can last for hours to days, and the pain can be so severe that it interferes with your daily activities." Thank you google. Well that was the gist of it indeed. I was missing 4 out of 5 days of work, I often couldn't lift my arms or legs because they would go numb from the pain.

I was given several promises from the Lord, and from encouraging friends or family that I was going to be healed. However, I had only just started coming back into the family of God and like I mentioned before I was blaming myself for all of this. I would think things like, "God must be punishing me for all my sins while I was out of church..." or "I deserve this because I knew better..."

GUESS WHAT THOUGH?? There is therefore now NO CONDEMNATION to those who are in Christ Jesus! I had been believing a lie, and even as I type this I can feel the joy of knowing that I am NO LONGER bound by sin! On April 8th, of 2018 I was completely HEALED of migraines. I have not had one since!!

Not only did Jesus heal me of a physical pain though, he took away my addiction to video games. He gave me a new desire for His Word AND I've got JOY!! So, don't ever let Satan lie to you and tell you that this is gonna last forever, honayyy NO! My God is able to heal ALL of your diseases and cleanse you from ALL unrighteousness.New Paragraph

Good Morning, or Evening depending on what time you're reading this!

I know it's been a while since we posted any updates and I apologize for the lapse in time. However, with all the hysteria going on in the world today I thought I would come to our little corner of the internet and spread some good news...cheer...happiness.

I want to start by thanking everyone who has been and still is praying for mom's healing. She is doing better than ever and we are confident that she is going to be completely clear in God's timing.

If you are friends with us on Facebook you probably already know we just had a Spring Revival at our home church, Faith Assembly. I cannot even begin to describe the amazing power of the Holy Ghost that we felt in that meeting and you should go back and watch the messages on live stream if you get the chance. Mom, dad and I all felt a renewing in our souls and

have been feasting on the awesome power of our God!

I don't want to go a day without giving glory to God again for my own healing, which as most of you know it will have been two years this April without another Migraine! More than just physical healing though, I had been suffering from PTSD and depression for over a year and never even realized it. God not only healed me of a major physical ailment but also opened my eyes and gave me the power to fight back!

Major depression has been a thorn in my flesh since about the age of 11 and it's almost as if you don't realize how much it affects your entire life until you're on the other side of it. If you or someone you know has ever suffered from any mental illness, I just want you to know there is a God in heaven who understands and who cares for you. That's not to say that I don't still battle almost every day of my life, but I feel like I finally have some control back and that's all because of the Lord. Also, my family who have been an incredible support system. I also have to say thank you to my church family, who I had been keeping at arm's length due to past hurts, but I find more and more how I need my brothers and sisters in Christ in order to stay above the noise.

As the third member of the Hendrix Trio, I have to admit these last few weeks I have been going a little stir crazy that we have not been overly busy this year. However, that does not stop me from blasting my worship music at home or in the car and singing at the top of my lungs. Am I the only one?

Let's get real for a minute: Comment below the songs you keep on Repeat and turn up every time they come on the radio. GO!

Another Praise Report:

A few weeks ago the house across the street from mom and dad caught fire and the blaze was so fierce the Firemen had to hose down the RV cover to keep it from catching from the debris flying across the road.

We are all so thankful for the Lord's protection and for keeping them safe. The more I hear about the panic of this Corona Pandemic it makes me thankful that I've got Jesus on my side. We would love to hear some good news from you too! Drop us a praise report below in the comments.

Upcoming things:

Switching gears here, Hendrix Trio has canceled our dates this weekend in order to stay safe with our fellow believers. However, as of today we are still planning our 2020 Heaven on Water Group Cruise and would love to take all of you with us if the Lord tarries!

We are praying for all of you to be safe and sane during this pandemic and we ask that you keep our family in your prayers as well. Please be careful and use precaution, but don't forget that we have a God in Heaven who is in control of the situation!

Sunshine, Swimming & A...Billy Goat?

Yes...A Billy Goat

A couple of weekends ago, my Nana (Momma Kathy as we affectionately call her) invited me to spend the weekend with her in honor of my 26th birthday. Of course I was excited because not only were we going to relax & do nothing, but we were also going to take advantage of the fact that my Aunt's family were going on vacation & we were going to have their swimming pool all to ourselves!

The weekend was a 'success' if you can call napping, swimming, & soaking in the sunshine a success. However, Sunday morning was my last chance to get a soak in the pool before heading back home & to reality. So, nana & I head over to the pool & on the little trail we notice one of my Aunt Renee's billy goats with it's butt up in the air. This particular billy goat had gotten her head stuck in on of the many square holes in the fence...All we could hear as we drove up was "Baaaaaaaaa.....aaaaaaa.....aahhh..."

Needless to say I was tickled, but at the same time nervous because I've never really been much of a country girl & I was not sure how Nana & I alone were going to free this poor creature from it's own stupidity.

After changing into our swimsuits I tried to twist the goat's head so that her horns would fit back through the narrow square (still not sure how she got her head through it in the first place). Well, she wasn't co-operating & I wasn't brave enough to force her. Nana then insisted that I go ahead & get in the pool while she feeds the rest of the goat herd & she would then free the trapped goat. Well, I stick around for a minute or two & as Nana pours the feed into the metal troughs all of the other goats run over to fight over their lunch as this poor goat stuck in the fence begins to realize she isn't getting fed with her head stuck & starts to holler even louder... "BAAAAAAAA.....HAAHAHAH....AA......aaaaaaaa." LOL

By this point I have worked up a good sweat in the lovely 99 degree weather so I head to the pool. Not even 5 minutes later I hear Nana hollering, "NESSA....Nessa!" I jump out of the water soaking wet & afraid Nana has hurt herself! Quite the opposite! Nana is inside the fence with a very large shovel in one-hand, fighting off the very large very mean MALE Billy Goat, & trying to pull the goat's body through the fence. I hope your seeing this in your minds eye because it was hilarious...

Nana explains to me that she can't pull the animal through the fence without someone feeding her horns through first. So, I promptly bend down & start to twist the goat's head. However, Nana is a little too eager & starts pulling her body before I can get the horns through the wires...Poor, poor billy...I quickly tell Nana to first push then...PULL!!

I must have been thinking outloud of my fear of twisting her head to far & breaking her neck! Nana snaps back with, "Well it serves her right for getting her head stuck in the first place!"

In one quick motion I get one horn through, but Nana pulls too quickly & the second horn is stuck Billy goes "BBBBaaaaaaaaggfghh."

Again, Nana pushes her neck back through enough for me to twist one final time & all in one bizarre motion Nana pulls this goat through the fence & all I hear is "Bah..." & she goes flying backwards! Dazed & confused the goat wanders off trying to comprehend what just happened.

Needless to say we enjoyed the swimming pool much more after that unexpected workout...LOL

I’ve rebuked it; you’ve prayed; I’ve prayed; we’ve all prayed!!

I’ve seen God’s power and Glory come through all of it.

I was promised at the very beginning(October) to ”let it run it’s course; then you’ll be free” I have held on tight to That promise. With God Re enforcing it Every so often with words of encouragement and another confirmation of complete freedom from this auto immune disease with no “cure”- BUT GOD....

saying all of that leads me here.

We were scheduled for a full weekend in Louisiana for the N.L.A. quartet (trio) convention.�� We got to see so many awesome friends. If I named names, I’d leave someone out; but my special little friend “Allie” was there and hugged my neck even tho I looked like a “freak” it was so sweet. God helped me get through our session Friday evening; but Saturday morning, realizing something else was going on... I wound up with SHINGLES and had to cancel our Saturday night and Sunday services.

In 27 years of ministry we’ve cancelled 4x this being the 4th.

I don’t like to do it but when “shingles” show up, not much else can be done.

I'm staying close to my comfy chair this Memorial Day - taking herbs and medicine and anointing myself with silver gel and teifu oil!! It’s Working!

Until I'm free, I'll Worship While I Wait!

Weekend Warriors

Sanctuary of praise in Fouke AR (where the Fouke monster resides) and no it’s not your mother in law either; had 100 pounds of fish to fry up so they invited the community to come out and partake. Hendrix Trio was honored when they asked us to come sing!

Well... It was supposed to be outside, but boy, It rained and rained and rained some more.

We all moved inside and still had a great fantastic time. Eating and singing. Was such an enjoyable day. Thank you SoP for the invitation! Mike and Gaylyn Spanhanks for coordinating the music.

Weekend Warriors

Thursday night; Hendrix Trio received tickets for our concert coming up Friday-June 21 with Tribute Quartet; The McNeil’s and is. It’s really exciting to see “fruition” for all the hard work put into a project. I worked feverishly trying to get them sorted and to Baptist book store ; since they were already 3 days late!! They got’em now tho!!

Bro. Bobby was asked to fill in with Tracy Thrasher and sing at the community park Saturday. “Rain; rain; rain” wanted to come and we kept feeling a drop here and there but got through to dry ground their it all! They even asked Hendrix Trio to sing a couple of songs! A lot of talent was there. We were honored.

After we left Fouke; we drove tin Crossett and spent the night at ”the Majesty Center” Warren Finney allows us to use the RV plug. Halleluyer...

So we loaded up Sunday and drove to Beech Creek homecoming in the church that was built in 1848. Very nostalgic. We love it. Dean Hill and his fine family allows the community to come together for dinner on the ground and homecoming. Our little friends Allie and Weston(pictures below) loves our microphones and Allie graciously sang “twinkle, twinkle”

How do we Speak Life?

It was bright outside, but only a little light peered through my windows as my phone shook me out of a deep sleep. This was a Friday morning & any other Friday I would already be up & out the door headed to work, but this particular Friday morning was one of the days I was scheduled to be off in anticipation of our drive to San Antonio, Texas.

“Are you awake baby girl?” The voice on the other end of the phone was my dad, so gentle & sweet he had called to make sure his adult daughter had made it up in time to pack & leave by the appointed time he & my mom had set the night before.

Daddy has always been so gentle when he’s waking me up or helping with honey do’s, but mom can always be counted upon to shake you out of a deep slumber to the point of no return. “I figure if I gotta be up, everyone else should be too.” She proclaims in response to my grumblings that she doesn’t know what the word quiet means!!

We head out about 10 am leaving Texarkana after filling up the big Ol’ RV tank. It’s going to be a long drive & my thoughts drift to the message Sis. Melissa Griffin, our music minister, preached Wednesday night. “Speak Life.” Those words rang true in my thoughts & my heart. The last few weeks have been rough. Life can just seem so overwhelming sometimes & although I try not to let it happen I tend to live in my head more than I should. That is my battle ground. The enemy loves to attack me when I’m exhausted, frustrated, lonely & feeling insecure. I pray for God’s strength this weekend. I know that I am called to deliver His gospel & it’s what I love to do, but I also know that this month in particular I have been struggling.

How do I encourage others when I need the encouraging? My mind wanders back to the message spoken through Sis. Melissa, but straight from the Lord to my heart... Speak Life.

The journey takes us all day & we finally make it into the R.V. Park about 9pm. This is mom & dads bedtime - normally it would be mine too except that I had caught up on rest during the drive & needed time to get sleepy again. I take IzzyBella outside for her nightly duties (my long-haired chihuahua) & again my mind wanders... “Lord, you know Your people. I don’t know what they may be going through, but you do. Please help someone this weekend . Use us, use me Lord, because I can’t do this alone.“ I drift off to sleep asking the Lord for his help & pray that he can use an empty vessel.

The next morning the birds begin to chirp & sing as I hear my dad plug up the percolator. I listen as the coffee brews & my mom begins to stir ... what was that about being quiet again? I finally drag myself up around 7:15 & sit down to spend some time in God’s Word before washing my hair in preparation for the concert this afternoon.

I am reading through the Bible, something I can’t say that I’ve ever done before (even admitting that to myself I feel the shame wash over my face). It’s true though - I’ve ready many books several times, but never the whole Bible. Today's reading is Mark chapter 15 & of course my daily Psalms & Proverbs.

As I begin to read & try to get those pesky little blurry bubbles worked out of my tired eyes, I imagine Jesus on the cross.

My precious Savior, how could they do such awful things to someone so innocent? Why? “Because I loved you enough...” It hit me like a ton of bricks. Morning devotions are not always revelational, but it’s a daily deposit into a savings account. When you need it you can draw from it!

At 1 pm the S.T.G.M.A. Begins. What a privilege it is to sing & feel the encouragement from the other groups lift us up. However, the thoughts roll in the back of my mind. “Speak Life.”

We have 4 short songs to try & pull the anointing, to try & lift up hearts & save souls... we need to Speak Life!! I'm so thankful for the presence of the Lord I felt today & for His help. He continues to amaze me. We may not know if you or someone around you is struggling, but He does!! The best thing we can do is pray, try to encourage you through songs of our Lord, &...Speak Life.

After picking up the RV from McClarty repair shop for the A/C to be fixed and the little darling serviced.. The Hendrix trio was on the road mid morning for our San Antonio and Corpus Christi weekend.

While passing through WACO; we decided to make a small detour and locate the magnolia gardens and the famous silos which HGTV & the Gaines‘ made famous.
